In this paper, as the difference between the diffraction and reflection modeled by a dielectric circular cylinder and an absorber screen, respectively, an additional term is derived by a uniform theory of diffraction in the lit side of the transition region. The proposed model is validated by numerical simulations at a high frequency. Through the proposal, we clarify the contribution of the Fresnel zone number and boundary conditions. In addition, in the lit side of the transition region, the validity of using a hassle-free absorber screen to model the cylinder-shaped object is proven by the proposal. |
