In order to achieve highly dense photonic circuit integration for the transmission of higher-order space-mode, a space-mode compressor by using nano-pixel optical waveguide is proposed. The long-term computational time for the design of the nano-pixel optical waveguide structure, is reduced considerably by the machine learning setup. During the process, we discuss the factors affecting the compression efficiency, while the simulation results show that there is more than 50% compression for the 0th and 1st order mode. |
