For future 5G and Beyond 5G (B5G) networks employed in mmWave spectrum that use beamforming with massive MIMO arrays, higher spectrum utilization efficiency can be achieved with knowledge of the carrier frequency and angle-of-arrival (AOA) of the signals emitted from multiple base stations. Algorithms to estimate angular-frequency characteristics of the signals transmitted from multiple antennas becomes necessary. In this paper, an algorithm to perform angular-frequency spectrum estimation utilizing only sub-Nyquist ADCs is proposed based on multi-coset sampling (MCS). Simulation results confirmed that the proposed algorithm is able to sense the whole spectrum more accurately compared to conventional techniques. |
