We have been researching on capacitive Electrocardiogram (ECG) because it can satisfy the requirements of unconscious and continuous health monitoring.ECG signal obtained from the human skin shows electrophysiological and myocardial activities. The common mode voltage, however, does not provide any useful information about the heart rate and may affect the measurement accuracy. Therefore, the ECG system must suppress the environmental electrical noise caused by AC power line, radio frequency interference (RFI), etc. in order to amplify and display the ECG signal. In this paper, a variety of methods for noise reduction of noninvasive electrocardiograph with capacitive coupling electrodes such as setting bias resistance, active guarding, common mode noise reduction circuit, power regulator are developed and evaluated. |
