So far, research and development of many MRR wavelength filters using dielectrics and silicon have been made. However, a design method for high-order series-coupled MRR filters has not yet been investigated sufficiently. In this study, we investigated a design method of a high-order series coupled MRR with digital filter characteristics. This method enables us to more efficiently design an MRR Chebyshev filter with a desired 3 dB wavelength bandwidth and FSR as compared with conventional design methods. |
