|
A two ports UWB antenna is designed, fabricated and measured. This antenna is designed to which has two excitation ports with 1st port structure as half circle and 2nd port is a rectangular. The simulation of this proposed antenna uses the commercial software CST (Computer Simulation System) to design and optimization. The prototype antenna is built on the printed circuit board (FR4) which has dimensions of 80×70 mm and the thickness of FR4 is 0.775 mm. For measurement of antenna, the operation frequency is cover entire UWB band (3-10.6 GHz) at port 1 and HIPERLAN/2 (5.2 GHz) at port 2. Furthermore, the measured gain is over 2 dbi and measured correlative coefficient is below 0.5 entire frequency ranges. Consequently, this proposed antenna is practical for several UWB and HIPERLAN/2 application.
