3GPP is working for specification of a new radio interface, refereed as NR (New Radio) and phase 1 of NR, supporting MBB (Mobile Broad Band) and URLLC (Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication) with NSA (Non Stand Alone), as part of phase1 will be finished by the end of 2017 and specification activities will be continued towards phase 2 specifications to be fixed in 2019.This article provides NR design principle, NR technology overview and Ericsson Challenges including 5G for Industry.
