In this research, an impact of the sound image localization accuracy on the amplitude modification in the specific frequencies which simulates the deviations in the frequency characteristics with headphone replacements, was studied. Horizontal sound image localization test was carried out with two types of the condition. One of the conditions which is adopted for a basis for comparison, is that does not consider headphone replacements. The other is that simulates headphone replacements by increasing or decreasing amplitude in any frequency bands. The results indicated that the latter condition induces individual difference for localization accuracy. Future study is to examine the impact of localization accuracy for several amplitude modifications and frequency bands.
