Content Centric Network (CCN) recently becomes a heated research topic. One big difference between the traditional TCP/IP network and CCN is that routers in CCN have caching abilities. By caching the popular content in the routers, which are close to users, the network traffic and server hit rate could be reduced. This paper studies the popularity aware caching in CCN and the video drop ratio is taken into consideration as well. The simulation results show that the proposed caching scheme can achieve better performances comparing with the competing caching scheme without considering the video drop ratio. |
