Data gathering trees in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are now widely used to gather sensor reports for various purposes such as environmental monitoring and weather forecasting. This paper proposes a routing for maximizing the lifetime of a data gathering tree. Kajal et al. proposed RaSMaLai, which can increase the lifetime of a data gathering tree more compared with several other conventional routings. However RaSMaLai is time-consuming and sometimes misses optimized outputs. The routing proposed in this paper removes the time-consuming process and approaches the maximum lifetime for each data gathering tree. |
