The heterogeneous network composed of different types of cells such as the macrocell and the public/private femtocell is expected to provide higher data rates and system capacity especially in high density areas. Nevertheless, the network suffers from cochannel interference. Interference cancellation on the receiver side is very effective in maintaining sufficient transmission performance. A quantized channel approach based semi-blind single antenna interference cancellation algorithm is proposed for the heterogeneous networks. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve almost the same performance as the system with full knowledge of both desired and interfering signals does, while having an affordable computational complexity. |
