Summary:
Slotted waveguide antennas have been used in communication systems, radar systems, e.t.c., because they have low loss properties in high frequencies. The method of moment (MoM) was developed to calculate these antennas including higher order modes of the waveguides and the slots, but only was able to be applied for the straight slot [1] [2]. The hybrid method of the finite element method and MoM (the hybrid FEM/MoM) was devised to analyze arbitrary-shaped slots such as round edge slots and cross slots [3] [4]. However, the solution by the conventional hybrid FEM/MoM was indefinite because the observation point was displaced in caluculating the reaction in half space. In this paper, we propose a novel method to obtain definite and precise results by extracting the singularity in the reaction.
