Summary:
In this paper, an ultra-wideband bandpass filter based on slotted step-impedance resonators (SSIR) with embedded fold-slot for notched band is presented. The proposed filter has narrow notch in the passband, resulting from the embedded fold-slot. By tuning the length and width of the embedded fold-slot parameters, the center frequencies and bandwidths of the notched band can be adjusted. The simulated and experimental results show narrow notched band around 250 MHz. The superior stopband performance with better than 15 dB for a frequency range up to 18 GHz has been also obtained with sharp rejection skirt in lower and upper band.
