Summary:
Although one can estimate the quiet zone field quality based on the taper and ripple of the probe field, it will be more useful if the locations and strengths of the stray signals that cause the ripple can be identified. Various methods have been developed in the last 20 years to apply different processing techniques of the field probe data and some of the most useful methods have been documented in [1]. These techniques have been used to evaluate many far field ranges and have provided very useful understanding of these ranges. Recently, a Microsoft Windows OS based user friendly GUI tool has been developed at ElectroScience Laboratory of The Ohio State University to utilize these field probe data processing techniques. The GUI program provides the user a quick tool to determine the quality of the quiet zone field. The GUI tool is described in this paper.
