Summary:
The UHF-band passive digital tag systems system has been changed, and the use environment is becoming more and more diversified. This means that the general public is more likely to approach the source of radio wave radiation. Therefore the evaluation of human protection and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) is required. In this report, we evaluated SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) for exposure to the human body from below using electromagnetic field simulation based on the FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) method and anatomical numerical human bodies of different ages and sexes. We calculated whole-body average SAR for 4 human models at 800MHz and 2GHz. Although the whole-body average SAR values for each model were different, they did not exceed the basic limits of ICNIRP guidelines for all models.
