Summary:
In frequency sharing between multiple systems, the use of a radio wave sensor that detects radio wave emitted by a primary system (PS) is being considered in order to protect the PS from interference caused by the secondary system (SS) [1]. When the radio wave sensor detects the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) above a certain threshold, it informs the RSSI to the data gathering center, where it is referred to as the fusion center (FC). Therefore, the access from the sensor to FC is an event triggered access. If many sensors detect the larger RSSI than the certain threshold, these access FC at the same time and thus packet collision makes data collection difficult. This paper proposes an information collection protocol for avoiding packet collisions in event-triggered access.
