Summary:
We propose a novel approach to implement reservoir computing, a processing concept in machine learning. We show that it is possible to replace a large network of interconnected nodes by only one single node with delayed feedback while maintaining processing power. We find that the dynamical behavior induced by delayed feedback fulfills the role of a temporal kernel suited for solving complex classification problems.
