Summary:
This paper presents a new spectrum-sharing strategy based on spatial information about mutual interference constraints, temporal spectrum usages and positions of devices. This strategy can solve the coexistence problem of Cognitive Radio (CR) networks and simplify the design of CR devices. In fact, it is a crosslayer design strategy that integrates useful information obtained from the physical, MAC and network layers, in order to fully exploit available spectrum resources without introducing interference to existing licensed incumbents.
