Summary:
In present Internet, users obtain content by appointing IP address because network architecture is “host-to-host”. However, new network architecture of “user-to-data” is needed because users need data, not IP address. Then we have proposed Energy Efficient and Enhance-type Data-centric Networking (E3-DCN) architecture to implement content-oriented network. E3-DCN realizes Data-centric Networking and to reduce power consumption effectively. In this paper, we implement Network Application Programming Interface (API) which has been proposed in E3-DCN to reduce power consumption effectively. We simulate to show effectiveness of Network API and show reduction of power consumption.
