Summary:
OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system is very promising for the 4th generation mobile communication because of high data rate. However, OFDM system has a serious problem of high PAPR (peak to average power ratio) that occurs in case so many subcarriers line up in the same phase. This signal is distorted through the nonlinear HPA. BER performance of this distorted signal becomes worse passing fading channel environment. This paper proposed co-ordinate interleaving method to reduce PAPR and improve BER performance in the Rayleigh fading channel and frequency selective fading channel environment. We show that the proposed method improves BER performance than the common SLM method and general symbol interleaving method.
