Summary:
In order to improve the precision of time synchronization for large scale wireless sensor networks, a time synchronization protocol based on clock frequency dynamic detection for large scale wireless sensor networks (TSP-CF-LSN) is proposed in the paper. In the proposed protocol, by statistical analysis of the clock frequency data and adaptive clock frequency detection, a quick track strategy is adopted for abrupt clock frequency. In order to reduce the error accumulation of time synchronization in multi-hop, the proposed protocol uses a simple and efficient path selection strategy to minimize the error accumulation. Experimental results indicate that the correct detection rate for large-scale network is over 91% in the range of the clock frequency [-50ppm, 50ppm]. Tested in the same network simulation environment, TSP-CF-LSN protocol is better than FTSP protocol in synchronization accuracy, which is suitable for large-scale wireless sensor networks.
