Measurement environment

  • A numerical model was constructed based on the building data and base-station (Tx) configuration of Database No. 1.
  • The evaluation frequency and transmitting antenna (Tx) configuration are the same as those in Database No. 1 (Urban propagation loss, Kokura, Fukuoka, 1298 MHz).
  • Considering the computational resources required for FDTD analysis, FDTD simulations were performed for a region of approximately 700 m × 700 m horizontally and 28 m in height.
  • The simulations were conducted using a special service of the Hokkaido University Information Initiative Center that allowed the use of many nodes (400 nodes, up to 180 hours of computation time).
  • The electric field strength distribution was evaluated.

Evaluation-plane height: 0.6 m

Evaluation-plane height: 1.6 m

Evaluation-plane height: 12.6 m
