Summary:
A beta encoder is an analog-to-digital(A/D) converter, that outputs truncated sequence of beta expansion of an input value x. It remains an unsolved issue to give an accurate estimation of the beta value in a pipeline beta encoder. In this paper, we propose a new method estimating beta by using beta-map and the accuracy is also evaluated by numerical simulations.
