Summary:
A new algorithm is proposed for finding DC solutions of piecewise-linear circuits using separable programming. In this algorithm, we formulate the problem of finding DC solutions by a separable programming problem, and solve it by the modified simplex method using the restricted-basis entry rule. The proposed algorithm is globally convergent and can find all solutions of piecewiselinear resistive circuits.
