Summary:
Secure information transmission of molecular communication (MC) systems is an important research aspect. By taking the legitimate and the eavesdropper absorbing receivers into account, the maximum achievable secrecy rate (MASR) of diffusion-based molecular communication with the depleted molecule shift keying (D-MoSK) is investigated. We first calculate the mutual information of the legitimate link. Then, the maximum achievable rates for legitimate link and the information leakage are obtained by maximizing the mutual information. Based on the maximum achievable rate and information leakage, we derive the maximum achievable secrecy rate. Finally, we evaluate and discuss the impacts of key parameters on the maximum achievable secrecy rate. This work can provide guidance for the design of practical and secure MC systems.
