Summary:
This paper presents various methods for different types of propagation measurements that were carried out using a remote-controlled airship for the frequencies ranging from L- to C-band. Different methods are introduced for the following cases: building penetration loss measurements at high elevation angles, vegetation attenuation measurements at high elevation angles and UAV link measurements at very low elevation angles. The advantages of such measurements are shown and general guidelines and understanding useful when carrying out such measurements are provided.
