Summary:
The determination of the maximal rank of a set of a given type of tensors is a basic problem both in theory and application. In fact the problem has been treated in various statistical and mathematical fields. In this talk we first review our recent results about the maximal rank of tensors with two slices and three slices, and secondly talk about our new proof of “a generic Kronecker form” and finally introduce the connection to quiver representation.
