Summary:
In our brains, neurons' interaction generates a variety of rhythms such as delta rhythm and gamma rhythm. These are numerically observed in a mathematical model of a neural network with spike-timing-dependent plasticity(STDP). Infra-Slow Oscillation (ISO; frequency 0.1 [Hz]) is also the rhythm generated in the brains, but its generation mechanism remains unknown. In this experiment, we discovered that the mathematical model can generate ISO by changing the parameter of STDP learning.
