Summary:
In this study, we propose two methods that incorporate the concept of synaptic pruning for an artificial neural network. The synaptic pruning is that the excess couplings between the neurons are disconnected. The performance of the two methods are investigated when these methods are applied to the Hopfield neural network for Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP).
