Summary:
In this paper we consider a nonlinear feedback control called augmented automatic choos ing control (AACC) for nonlinear systems with con- strained inputs. It is designed by making use of the linear quadratic (LQ) controls and the weighted auto- matic choosing functions. Constant terms which arise from sectionwise linearization of a given nonlinear sys tem are treated as coef?cients of a stable zero dynam- ics. Parameters included in the control are subopti- mally selected by minimizing the Hamiltonian and a necessary condition for optimization with the aid of the genetic algorithm. Computer simulations show how this AACC can be well in the improvement of transient stability of electric power system.
