Summary:
This paper deals with amplitude death in a pair of two-dimensional complex Ginzburg-Landau (CGL) systems coupled by delay connections. A linear stability analysis provides a sufficient condition for the existence of amplitude death for a no-delay connection. A systematic procedure for designing connection parameters for a delay-connection, which can induce amplitude death, is presented. These analytical results are confirmed through some numerical simulations.
