Summary:
In this paper, a profound analysis of voltage sources inverters is first conducted for understanding their disadvantages. It follows with the explanations of the advantages of Z-source inverters. Based on these analysis, this paper proposes the impedance network matching mechanism, which forms the basis of a systematic methodology of designing power converters.
