Summary:
In the past decades, social networking services (SNS) have become a major information exchanging platform worldwide. Along with its flexibility, SNS has a lot of issues, including news credibility and reliability. However, this problem does not refrain the users to use SNS for news sharing and exchanging information, including sharing fake news. To understand how information is disseminated among the SNS, we propose a trust model based on the big five personality traits. We also develop an agent-based simulator, evaluating how the trust model with the big-five personality traits captures the trust of users joining the SNS.
