Summary:
It is known that the bandwidth of Band Stop Filter (BSF) using the λ/4 stub can be widened by increasing the stub width and number of filter stages. However, there is a trade-off between wider bandwidth and filter sizes. It has been experimentally verified that increasing the number of filter stages results in a wider bandwidth. However, the relationship between miniaturization and bandwidth has not been quantified when a capacitive window is inserted at the waveguide E-plane stub input point. In this paper, we experimentally investigated the miniaturization effect and its bandwidth relationship while keeping the resonance frequency constant.
