Summary:
In cloud computing, data storage is outsourced to multiple servers, and the data are often encrypted before storage to protect their confidentiality. Searchable encryption (SE) is a technique that allows users to perform secure searches on encrypted data. Ito et al. proposed an SE scheme using secret sharing. However, the same trapdoor was computed for the same keyword; therefore, the search frequency was leaked. In this paper, we propose an efficient SE using an encrypted trapdoor based on two types of (k, n) threshold secret sharing
