Summary:
In this paper, we propose a transceiver design method that maximizes the sum rate in distributed wireless powered communication networks (WPCNs), which is effective for the doubly near-far problem. Unlike conventional methods for single-carrier transmissions, the proposed method can be applied to orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) with per-antenna power constraints. In the proposed method, the optimization problem is divided into subproblems and solved alternately to obtain a beamforming (BF) vector, a time duration parameter, and resource allocation. Simulation results show that the distributed WPCN using the proposed method achieves a better sum rate than the WPCN with centralized antennas.
