Summary:
This paper proposes a user-fairness power allocation for an energy transmitter in OFDMA-based wireless power communication networks. The proposed proportional fairness-based power allocation maximizes the sum of logarithmically weighted transmission rates for each user. Unlike conventional power allocation based on the sum-rate maximization without considering user fairness, the proposed method can improve the sum rate while maintaining user fairness by appropriately allocating available power to users with poor channel conditions. We show the proposed method is more effective than a conventional method in terms of user fairness and sum rate.
