Summary:
We describe a 6 Gbaud 256 QAM coherently-linked optical and wireless transmission in the 61 GHz IF band. By using an injection-locked carrier frequency converter and a practical low profile planar antenna with a gain of 37 dBi, a 48 Gbit/s data signal can be transmitted over a 10 km SMF and over 20 m wirelessly.
