Summary:
A novel textile UWB antenna with the appearance of a button for Body-area networks is presented. The antenna is placed on a fabric substrate and fed by coaxial feeding through the ground plane. It is able to operate within the 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz bandwidth required for UWB communication systems. The performances and characteristics of the antenna are investigated. Parametric studies have also been investigated. Finally, good omni-directional radiation patterns are given.
