Summary:
Metamaterial is presented to significantly suppress the mutual coupling between adjacent transmission lines operating at the same frequency band on low temperature co-fire ceramic (LTCC) Substrate. The transmission lines are analyzed as a symmetrical four-port network by the even and odd modes method. The characteristic impedances and propagation constant of the transmission line are investigated. Experimental results indicate 20-dB suppression of broadside coupling between two adjacent 50 ohm lines.
