Switched Beam Triangular Microstrip Antenna Fed by Hybrid Coupler

Summary:
This paper presents a simple configuration of a triangular microstrip antenna fed by 3 dB hybrid coupler. The proposed antenna can be produced two switced beams of direction. The antenna works at 2.3 GHz and applicable to be used for WiMAX application. The performance of the proposed antenna can be achieved as follow, return loss of -20.54 dB with VSWR 1.207, impedance bandwidth 672 MHz or about 29.22%. Having similar broadside radiation pattern with Half Power Beamwidth for the two port is 340 .
