Summary:
This study investigates the possibility of visual communications using spectrogram arts through sound media. Unlike radio communication systems using advanced wireless devices, it only requires microphones and speakers employed in ordinary telephony communication systems. Because of that simplicity, this approach is easy to implement so that it may potentially be employed as a protocol that focuses on the compatibility of communications such as in emergency situations. This study attempts to expand the scope of the spectrogram arts communications by making their information machine readable. The experimental results indicate that it is possible to digitize the text messages embedded as spectrogram arts by using a conventional optical characters reader software.
