Summary:
In the conventional user scheduling of massive MIMO systems, each user terminal selects a beam with the largest received signal power and notifies it to a base station [1]. User scheduling is based on the notified beam indices. This paper proposes user scheduling with beam selection based on inter-user interference (IUI). In the proposed scheme, the directions of the beams of all allocated user terminals are adjusted to increase the total throughput. Numerical results obtained through computer simulation show that when the number of user terminals in the cell is two and the number of user terminals allocated to one RB is two, the throughput per subcarrier per subframe improves about 3.0 bits. On the other hand, the fairness index (FI) reduces by 0.03.
