This paper presents the bit error rate (BER) performance of phase noise compensation (PNC) with least mean square (LMS) algorithm and phase locked loop (PLL) for frequency domain equalizer (FDE) in frequency-selective fading channel. In this paper, we assume common pilot signal structure that is use for LMS algorithm and PLL. Computer simulation results show that the low BER less than 10^{-6} is achieved in an additive white Gaussian channel with time-varying phase noise. We also show that the error floor around 10^{-5} is observed by using the PNC based on LMS algorithm and PLL for FDE in the Rummler fading channel with deep notch that simulates microwave radio backhaul.
