Summary:
This paper focuses on investigation of coil design methods which are advantageous for small and space limitation devices such as biosensors, implantable devices, laptops and smart phones, in magnetically coupled resonators (MCR) type of wireless power transfer. In MCR wireless power transfer, Q factor is one of the important elements for maximizing the efficiency. To solve efficiency degradation due to range and misalignment of receiver position, geometric shape of coil is designed by presenting electron- ring shaped coil which improves system efficiency due to variations in position of receiver and optimal parameter of coils to achieve the efficiency of the system up to 93%.
