Summary:
This paper presents the concept of an invisible antenna integrated within a touch screen panel for 5G multi-input multi-output smartphone applications. By using optically invisible electrodes for the antenna, it can be integrated within a touch screen panel without disturbing the display on a screen. The antenna layer is located between TSP electrodes and display modules. The MIMO antenna elements consist of four narrow notches on the transparent electrodes for miniaturization. Simulation results show that the proposed MIMO antenna could offer isolation better than 24 dB．Each antenna element has 10 dB return loss over 2.6-5.4 GHz and achieves a maximum realized gain of 0 dBi．
