Summary:
Amplitude death, the coupling induced stabilization of unstable fixed points, is observed in a pair of time-delayed chaotic oscillators coupled by the static connection. The cluster treatment of characteristic roots methodology allows us to estimate the boundary curves of the death region in a parametric space. This region can be utilized to streamline the design of the long delay times appropriately for inducing amplitude death. The analytical results are verified by electronic circuit experiments.
