Summary:
In this paper we discuss the development of a high speed measurement system that combines a novel upsampling algorithm with our existing TDEMI measurement solution. As part of our initial investigation we studied the interpolation algorithm for the height pattern of a hybrid log-periodic antenna. We compared the original measured height pattern with the interpolated height pattern. The interpolated data was obtained from the decimated height pattern to match the same sampling rate as the original measured height pattern. We confirmed that the error of the E-field strength at the position where the maximum value was obtained in the height pattern was within -0.65 dB. Furthermore, we compared the accuracy and the measurement time of the proposed system with that of a manual measurement on practical EUTs. As a result, we could confirm that the deviation of the maximum E-field strength between the proposed system and the manual measurement was within +0.12 / -0.39 dB, and that the measurement time of the proposed system was 69% less than the manual measurement.
