Summary:
A high-resolution real-time spectrum sniffer based on a novel dispersive delay structures (DDSs) design technique is presented. In this technique, the required stepped group delay response is realized as the superposition of a linear response and sawtooth response. To validate the proposed technique, a spectrum sniffer with 60 MHz frequency resolution is demonstrated. The simulation results show that the spectrum sniffer can determine the availability of three different channels in real-time.
