Summary:
Key techniques enabling asynchronous coherent OCDMA include: lowering the interference level by ultra-long superstructured FBG, optical thrtesholder and multi-port encoder/decoder; enhancing noise tolerance of system by forward-error-correction and differential-phase-shift-keying with balanced detection; and security enhancement by code-shift-keying.
